Inspection Process
  • Properly document the source of moisture by inspecting and recording temperatures, humidity levels, and moisture content of impaired materials.

  • Determine drying goals by comparing affected and unaffected areas.

Drying Process
  • Remove excess water by absorbing, pumping, vacuuming water; multiple extractions may be required.

  • If NOT salvageable, remove damaged material.

  • Create optimal evaporation environment and dehumidifier ventilation to remove moisture from the air.

  • Exercise climate control.

  • Control or modify temperature for maximum drying potentials.
